Privacy Policy

ClipmakerDJ ("we", "the app") helps DJs find and cut clip-worthy moments out of their own mixes. This page explains what data the app touches, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Account info. Email address and password (handled by our auth provider, Supabase — we never see or store your raw password), plus anything you add to your profile: display name, username, bio, avatar, and links to your other pages (SoundCloud, Instagram, TikTok, etc.). Profile fields you fill in are shown publicly on your profile page — that is the point of them.
- Your mixes. Detecting transitions and drops runs entirely in your browser — the audio file itself is not uploaded anywhere for that step. When you choose to cut and keep specific clips, only those short clips (not the full mix) are sent to our server to be rendered, and are stored in your private clip vault if you're signed in.
- Cover art lookups. If you paste a Discogs link to add cover art to a clip, we fetch that release's public metadata from Discogs' API. No account or personal data is sent to Discogs.
- Connected social accounts. If you connect TikTok, we store the access token TikTok issues so we can post a clip you explicitly choose to send, on your behalf. We never see your TikTok password. You can disconnect at any time from your profile, which deletes the stored token.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data to anyone.
- We don't post to any connected account unless you click the button that does it.
- We don't run ad trackers or share your activity with advertisers.
Who we share data with
Only the services that make the app work: Supabase (authentication, database, and file storage), Discogs (cover art lookups you initiate), and — only if you connect it — TikTok, for posting a clip you choose to send. Each of those has its own privacy policy governing what they do with a request once it reaches them.
Your choices
You can edit or clear any profile field at any time. You can disconnect TikTok from your profile page whenever you like. To delete your account and everything tied to it (profile, saved clips, connected accounts), email us at monzterjake9@gmail.com and we'll remove it.
Children
ClipmakerDJ isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the "last updated" date above will change with it.
